Why Maple Valley is One of the Top 50 Places to Raise Kids
2One of the Top 50 Places to Raise Kids in the US: Yours Truly
Maple Valley was voted one of the Top 50 places to raise kids in the U.S. in 2013. Businessweek conducted its annual survey of towns and cities across the country. Gathering data such as population, GreatSchools city score, median family income, housing costs, county unemployment, and proximity to big cities, Businessweek ranked Maple Valley as 48 of 50 top cities to raise children in the nation.
Maple Valley is known for its schools, which are part of the Tahoma School District. Among other significant achievements, Tahoma High School boasts a consistently higher graduation rate and lower dropout rate than the Washington State average.
But one of the factors that went unmentioned by Businessweek, which anyone who lives in Maple Valley can attest to, is the incredible community events for children.
