Looking to Move to Maple Valley in 2014?
2If you’re thinking about moving to Maple Valley in 2014, we can help!
Here on Maple Valley Living, we’ve been digging through the culture of Maple Valley since April (2013). We have written 56 blogs about Maple Valley restaurants, businesses, activities, events, and services. If you’re not from Maple Valley and are looking to move to it – or if you’re in Maple Valley and want to move – we thought this blog would be helpful.
Here is our roundup of what you need to know if you’re considering a move to Maple Valley next year:
- The original Maple Valley was not incorporated into the city. Sometimes this causes some confusion – and even tension – but when Maple Valley became its own city in 1997, the original town of Maple Valley was nor incorporated into the city. It is in fact still within the 98038 zip code, however. The point is: Maple Valley is big – tons of space, whether officially recognized natural areas or parks, or just plain forest. It’s awesome.
- Maple Valley has amazing schools – but everyone knows it. The Tahoma School District is looking at options for expanding the number of schools. Due to the family-friendly culture of the city, as well as the Tahoma School District’s impeccable reputation, more and more families choose to move to Maple Valley. The school district has been quick to respond, however, which only means more families will enjoy the benefit of a great public education.
- The community vibe is on the rise. In our recent interview with Sue VanRuff of the Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce, she made the interesting point that the Digital Age is providing Maple Valley with the opportunity to host high-tech companies. With more people living in Maple Valley and not commuting to Redmond/Issaquah/Bellevue/Renton/Seattle, the strong sense of community will only become stronger.

Our zip code is 98038, not 98308. The link to maps worked though.
Just a type – fixed it, thanks!
