Why You Should Go To The Maple Valley Farmers Market
1…Before It’s Too Late! Here are all the reasons to check out the Maple Valley Farmers Market!
Do yourself a huge favor and catch one of Maple Valley’s Summer highlights: the Maple Valley Farmers Market.
This organization is probably one of the most well-connected in the Maple Valley area, especially considering they host community connection events, such as “Community Connections Day” last weekend.
The farmers market occurs every Saturday for 17 consecutive Summer weeks (June 15 to October 5 this year). They extended their market hours this year – 9 am to 2 pm. And they are located at Rock Creek Elementary.
This coming weekend: Active Living / Healthy Lifestyles Day!
Some things to look forward to:
- Get free Market Bucks if you ride your bike to the market
- Get 5 Market Bucks if you give blood
- Maple Valley Big Band live music
Beyond this weekend, they’ve got Vendor Appreciation Day, Senior’s Salute, and, on September 14th, the 4th Annual Home Style Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser!
You get the idea: Maple Valley Farmers Market really knows how to give back to the community, not only with great-tasting produce and local products. They really care about this community, and they also are clearly invested in the long-standing tradition and occupation of living off the land. It’d be a shame to see the drastic decline in the necessity and popularity of farming continue. We need organizations like the Maple Valley Farmers Market to keep this alive.
Show your support by going out to the Maple Valley Farmers Market this weekend! Be sure to bring your friends, family, distant cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles… You get the idea!
Be sure to check out their Facebook page to stay up-to-date on their events.
