Congressman Dave Reichert Visits Tahoma High School

Nothing like a visit from a big name to make us feel special. Congressman Reichert stopped by a 9th-grade social studies class Tahoma HS to share about his background as a poor South King County resident. He told the students how he went on to head the team that solved the Green River murders while King County Sheriff, then continued to make the world a better place as a Representative for the state of Washington.

New Tahoma High School School Designs Announced by Tahoma School District

This is cool! There are two designs here proposed by the DLR group – both were unveiled last week at community meetings. Both designs are intended to provide greater flexibility for future growth, as well as increased security and sustainability.

According to a Maple Valley Reporter article, Tahoma SD spokesperson Kevin Patterson said: “We’re building a 50-year building. That’s a challenge — to build a building that remains contemporary for 50 years.”
