South Sound Critter Care
0Are you an animal lover? Help support the influx of new critters being cared for at South Sound Critter Care. There will be a fundraising auction called “Wild in Washington” for the organization at the Tukwila Community Center on May 4, 2014 from 1-4 pm. Amazing opportunity to score unique items and help fund what looks like a major influx of animals this coming year! Dr. Jan White, President of SSCC had this to say about the event,
“2014 is a watershed year for South Sound Critter Care. Our facility opened in late 2010 and quickly reached our capacity at about 1,800 animals a year. Now, with the elimination of 5 pickup sites in King County for Sarvey Wildlife Center, we are facing an onslaught of nearly 4,000 animals a year. We need all the support we can get this year. To that end, our “Wild In Washington” event culminates 4 months of working with businesses and local artists from all over the county to offer all manner of great experiences and unique artwork, jewelry, and many exciting themed baskets for auction. John Curley, local radio personality and former host of Evening Magazine, will be our auctioneer for the event. We come together for wildlife care and will have a lot of fun along the way. Come join us! ”
