The Best Place To Raise Kids in WA

Maple Valley.

That’s right.

According a NerdWallet study that analyzed decades of data, Yours Truly topped the list of best places to raise children in Washington State.

The study looked at answers to these three questions:

1. Does the town have good schools? (Using GreatSchools scores)
   
2. How affordable are the new homes? (Cost of living)
3. Is the town growing and prospering? (Median income and income growth)

They narrowed it down to ten schools, and ranked them according to their scores in each of the above three categories.

With a brief mention of Maple Valley’s rich past of recognition for being a great place for families, NerdWallet awarded the top spot to Maple Valley.

Citing fresh produce, the surrounding Great Outdoors, and the pioneering environmental education programs of the Tahoma School District, NerdWallet calls Maple Valley “a model for healthy, active families.
