Maple Valley, WA: 5 Things We’re Thankful For About Maple Valley
05 Things We’re Thankful For About Maple Valley, WA
There are plenty of great places to live in the world. There are even plenty of great places to live in the Pacific Northwest. Or more narrowly, in King County. Or even more narrowly, in South King County.
But c’mon, let’s be honest… Maple Valley, WA rocks.
The key to a great Maple Valley, WA Thanksgiving? Being thankful.
And we sure have a lot to be thankful for.
Great local businesses.
This is important to mention because Small Business Saturday is coming up this weekend. It’s the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our gratitude to Maple Valley, WA small businesses! Shop local, folks! We’ve got a lot of them, from Ristretto’s to Nutty Squirrel Gelatto, from Johnson’s Home and Garden to Hopjack’s.
Great schools.
Yeah, we’ve all heard it a ton. But just because something keeps being great doesn’t make it any less great. And Maple Valley, WA schools courtesy of the Tahoma School District are great. That’s why they keep getting featured and winning awards all across the country!
Great community events.
We’re not sure why it’s so awesome – the community events, the vibe – but it is. Maybe it’s the Maple Valley Community Center, with their recurring get-togethers and meetups. Or maybe it’s the Maple Valley Arts Center. Or maybe the library? Whatever it is, we love it.
Great outdoors.
Or should we say: THE great outdoors? Maple Valley, WA is close to many phenomenal outdoor activities, including tons of great Washington ski and snowboarding resorts. There are parks and natural areas aplenty, and it’s not long before you get to those wonderful bits of wilderness that are so wild they don’t need a park designation.
Great people.
Maple Valley, WA is home to an interesting demographic. In the last ten years, the population of Maple Valley, WA has boomed; the surge is largely the result of the commuter trend. More and more people live in Maple Valley and work elsewhere. But they quickly realize this is a fantastic place to plant all their roots.
What more we could ask for?
Thanks, Maple Valley, WA.
You’ve given us a lot to be thankful for.
