Skiing and Snowboarding Near Maple Valley (Under 3 Hours)
1From Maple Valley To Your Favorite Skiing and Snowboarding
Washington State is proud of its skiing and snowboarding amenities. Nature has graced it with mountains tall enough to get cold enough to get snowy enough, but close enough for us to get to.
And we are very grateful.
Here are the six fantastic options for skiing and snowboarding near Maple Valley – and each less than 3 hours away:
The Summit At Snoqualmie: 46 minutes
Snoqualmie may be the pass we’ve all been to, the one we grew up on learning how to ski, but it’s still a great choice for your Winter sporting activities.
First of all, it’s only 3/4 of an hour away from us.
Second of all, it does have a huge variety of options in terms of difficulty of trails.
And third of all, it’s less expensive than Stevens.
Crystal Mountain Resort: 1 hr 14 minutes
Crystal Mountain Resort is Washington State’s largest resort. It has over 57 named trails, and gets oodles of snow.
Don’t believe us? Check out their website.
Stevens Pass: 1 hr 53 minutes
Stevens Pass has been around since 1937 (!), with one of the most popular passes for advanced skiers snowboarders in the Pacific Northwest.
Visit this iconic resort and prepare to have your socks knocked off.
Leavenworth Ski Hill: 2 hrs 14 minutes
It would be better to refer to it as the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club. The Leavenworth Ski Hill is only one of four networks of trails and winter sport spots provided by the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club. The LWSC – as it is called – is well on its way to its goal of creating a Winter sport culture in Leavenworth: it has generated over 26 miles of trails between its four locations. The Ski Hill also includes a Nordic jumping hill.
If you’re looking for skiing and snowboarding near Maple Valley for families, Leavenworth Winter Sports Club (and Leavenworth Ski Hill) is perfect.
White Pass Ski Resort: 2 hrs 43 minutes
White Pass, along with Paradise Basin, is renowned for its views of Mount Rainier. It has a comprehensive set of services, from rentals to on-site childcare to three different dining options.
Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort: 2 hrs 48 minutes
Just a tad beyond White Pass is Mission Ridge, rising over 6000 feet, and offering an unforgettable snowy experience in the foothills of Mt. Rainier. Misson Ridge boasts high-value deals on “Stay & Play” lodging packages, beginning at $148 – the cost of many 3-star hotels for a single night.
